A short list of things I’ve learnt this weekend
Brussels
1) The Mannekin Pis has over 800 different outfits, yet is sometimes naked, even when it’s -9 degrees.
2) The French word for the hereafter is l’au-dela.
3) The Belgians are particularly fond of stuffed animals.
4) Brussels is extraordinarily well equipped with hat shops. Also chocolate shops, but I knew that already.
5) Shop opening hours in Brussels are extremely short and often not adhered to. It’s as if they don’t want to make money.
6) Strong beer kills the norovirus dead. Fact.
I will be buying some Leff when I am in the supermarket to kill this virus dead. I am also paying homage to the short list of things again!
